Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Andreas Ninevebri, based in Sweden, with the intent to incorporate as a Swedish Aktiebolag (AB) prior to public launch ("Oxytocin", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of the Oxytocin mobile application and any related services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility (18+)

Oxytocin is a dating service. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

We reserve the right to require verification of your age and identity at any time, and to refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that we believe may not meet these requirements.

Your account

Creation

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account, and to keep that information up to date. You may only create one account. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.

Security

Keep your password confidential. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at support@oxytocinapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent, subject to the retention rules described in our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and payments

Oxytocin offers an optional premium subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are sold and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, in accordance with their respective terms.

User conduct

Oxytocin exists to help adults make genuine connections. To keep the community safe, you agree NOT to:

User content

Your ownership

You retain ownership of the photographs, text, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content").

License to us

By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other users. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual backup copies retained briefly for technical reasons.

We do not use your User Content to train generative AI models, sell it to third parties, or use it for advertising outside the Service.

Your responsibility

You represent that:

Reporting and moderation

If another user violates these Terms, you can report them through the report feature in the app or by emailing support@oxytocinapp.com. We review reports promptly and may take actions including warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.

We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to monitor, review, and remove any User Content that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful, at our discretion and without prior notice.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, posed a risk to other users, or for any other lawful reason. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for an extended period.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid, except where required by law.

Intellectual property

The Oxytocin name, logo, app design, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations.

Oxytocin is a platform that helps users connect; we do not vet, background-check, or verify the identity of all users. You are solely responsible for the people you choose to interact with. Always exercise caution. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and never send money to someone you have not met in person.

We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline, or for any disputes, injuries, losses, or damages that arise from interactions between users.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oxytocin (including Andreas Ninevebri personally) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. If you live in such a jurisdiction, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by your local law, and nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or other liabilities that cannot be lawfully limited.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Oxytocin and Andreas Ninevebri from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your interactions with other users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Sweden, except that, if you are a consumer, you may bring claims in the courts of your country of residence as required by mandatory consumer protection law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If you do not agree to the changes, you may stop using the Service and delete your account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
